The Cabinet Office has today published a revised set of planning assumptions for A(H1N1) Swine Flu, to allow for more accurate planning and response in advance of a possible second wave of the virus.

The assumptions have been revised based on the latest scientific evidence available on the A(H1N1) virus. They show that estimates of the worst case scenario in the current pandemic are lower than previously thought, but that preparedness is no less crucial.

These documents supercede the planning assumptions published in July 2009
