A "free and impartial advisory service to SME businesses" to ensure their insurance programmes can manage a tough economic climate has been launched by broker Aon.
The group says Aon's Health Check will comprise an insurance audit followed by a written report of findings and recommendations.
It aims to provide businesses with the right tools to:
-identify and effectively manage risk exposures that could have detrimental effects on the business;
-ensure the insurance represents value in terms of premium spend;
-protect the business with adequate sums insured and cover in face of today's business risks.
Gerry Callaghan, sales director of Aon's SME team, said that currently more than 100 SME businesses in the UK were closing down every day in the UK, some of which could have been saved by effective management of their internal and external risks.
Colleague Jesper Paul, affinity development manager for Aon's SME team, added: "We are talking to a number of FTSE 500 organisations across various sectors who are interested in extending our consultative reviews as an added value benefit to their clients."
Aon says the Health Check is available for any SME business with turnover between GBP2 - GBP20 million. Further information on the free service is available on 0800 028 8502, which can also be used for bookings.
